ZEUS completes SOC 2 Type II audit

We've completed our SOC 2 Type II audit, conducted by Prescient Assurance, a globally recognized cybersecurity audit firm. The full report is available to enterprise partners and prospects upon request. You can also review our security posture in real time at our trust center.

SOC 2 Type II is the standard that enterprise clients and institutional partners require before they'll work with you. Completing it means ZEUS can now engage with regulated entities, custodians, and treasury operations at the level they expect, and help bring Lightning infrastructure into environments where it hasn't been before.

Why this matters

ZEUS has been building Lightning infrastructure for over seven years. We run one of the most connected nodes on the network. We operate an LSP that serves thousands of self-custodial wallet users. And with ZEUS White, we provide white glove Lightning services for businesses and institutions.

All of that is built on a foundation of self-custody. ZEUS never holds private keys. We never take custody of client funds. Our architecture is non-custodial by design, which means our security surface is structurally narrower than providers who hold keys on behalf of clients. The SOC 2 Type II audit independently verifies the controls around that infrastructure: how we manage access, monitor systems, handle incidents, and protect data.

For a small team, this was a significant investment. We did it because the businesses and institutions we're building for need this assurance before they can move forward. And because we think Lightning deserves to be taken as seriously as any other financial infrastructure.

What's next

This is a milestone, not a finish line. We're continuing to expand our compliance posture as we grow ZEUS White and take on more enterprise clients. Expect more on that front soon.
